This site was about to be placed on the market by the Health Authority. DB Land and Planning submitted an offer subject to planning and HCA grant which was accepted. The scheme was designed in accordance with the requirements of the HCA and offered to the local housing Association.
DB submitted a planning application for 14 properties which was approved and Fortis Housing Association purchased the scheme from DB. The s.106 and legal process was relatively simple on the site and connections into foul and surface water drainage went smoothly.
The old Health Centre was demolished and asbestos removed and the build of the timber frame properties commenced in 2010, Code3 Sustainable Homes was achieved.
